About Ibrahim
Ibrahim Abid is looking to study business at MSU. Throughout high school, he took every opportunity available to be a part of different kinds of experiences, which helped find his passion in the business field.
Ibrahim was in the top of his class at Genesee Early College, achieving a 3.9 college GPA by successfully finishing around 1.5 years of dual credits. He took Medical Career Foundations at Genesee Career Institute, and got several certifications such as CPR & AED training, OSHA certification, HIPAA certification and many others. He accumulated more than 1,200 service hours throughout high school. He served as Key Club President - leading service projects like cleaning along the Flint River. He was also a member of National Honors Society, Boys Scouts of America, Robotics, and Genesee Early College’s Mentorship Program.
His biggest accomplishment was being selected to join the Committed to Excellence and Opportunity Scholars Program. There, he was selected as the top scholar for academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement. As a result, he was awarded the 2021 Inaugural Directors Cup.
Ibrahim spent Summer 2022 with Insight Institute of Neurosurgery and Neuroscience as a HR and Business Intern at their corporate headquarters in Flint, Michigan.
He is excited and eager to start at Michigan State. Ibrahim will be a part of the Residential Business Community, Broad Scholars Program, Burgess Institute Discovery Venture Creation Program as a Schaberg Entrepreneurship Scholar, and a Summer Business Institute Participant. Although Ibrahim is not sure what he wants to do, he is excited to see what the business world has to offer.
What does this scholarship mean to Ibrahim?
"This scholarship means a lot to both me and my family. Not only does it allow for some financial support transitioning from high school to college, but also allows me to connect with amazing individuals from the group. This scholarship only motivates me more to achieve greatness at Michigan State and ultimately give back to others in the future. College is an expensive part of life, and I am extremely grateful for this scholarship. I look forward to learning more about Spectrum Consulting and its place in the business world."
