About Maddie

Madelyn Feltmate is very excited to start a new chapter in her life at MSU, as she hopes to be admitted to the Broad Business College to study business. She graduated from Milford High School with high academic honors and a cumulative GPA of 4.17. School is something that is very important to her, but she also values community and involvement. Maddie played varsity volleyball, ran on the varsity track and field team, and was a part of starting a unified basketball team for her community and school. She also very proud to have received the Milford High School Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award in 2022.

Madelyn was involved in several programs in high school. She has been in Leadership, which was one of the best experiences for her to be a part of. She also represented her class on the MHS Student Council, and did DECA for four years. On the volleyball team, Madelyn was a three-year captain. With the track and field program, she held the captain role for two years and was picked to be on a leadership committee to help engage with her team more.

She also loves to help out in her community. She has helped with youth volleyball camps, and this past winter, she was the State of Michigan Special Olympics Volleyball Champion Team Assistant Coach. Hobbies of Madelyn's include spending time with family and friends, taking her dogs for walks, and being outdoors.

What does this scholarship mean to Maddie?

"I am very honored to be a recipient of the 2022 Vedaant Garg Memorial Scholarship. Being awarded with this scholarship means very much to me and my family. The cost of tuition for college is very high in general. This scholarship can take some stress off of the many costs that are about to come. I plan on majoring in something related to business. With this generous scholarship, I can further my education without worrying about the costs as much. I have worked very hard academically to excel in my classes, and with this money, I am excited to continue without as large of a burden in the future. Thank you to Spectrum Consulting Group for this great opportunity!"
