About Grace

My name is Grace Lipford and I will be a freshman in 2021 attending Michigan State University. I will be a member of the Residential Business Community where I plan to pursue a degree in Marketing.

As a 2021 graduate of Saint Mary Catholic High School, I was in the top ten of my class with a 4.50 GPA. I was presented with the prestigious English Course Award. This award is voted on by the English Department and presented to a senior at graduation. In 2019, I was inducted into the National Honors Society, and was on the honor roll student all four years of high school. I also received the Introduction to Business course award, and U.S History course award.

I was a member of multiple athletic teams including volleyball, basketball, soccer, and bowling. My greatest athletic achievement is being a back-to-back MHSAA Division 3 Volleyball State Champion for the 2019 and 2020 seasons. I also participated in clubs such as student council, and geek squad. I held leadership positions in extracurriculars including student council secretary, geek squad secretary and varsity soccer and bowling captain. I also enjoyed volunteering as a counselor at our summer youth volleyball and soccer camps.

When I’m not studying or doing extracurriculars, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, fitness, travel, concerts, and reading.

What does this scholarship mean to Grace?

This scholarship is incredibly important to both me and my family. The transition from high school and living at home to going to college is expensive. The cost of tuition, as well as the multitude of other unexpected necessities, add up quickly. Also, the scholarship is also a huge opportunity for me to represent Spectrum Consulting to the best of my ability. I look forward to making further connections within the company and growing my knowledge of business.
